Sewing Shenanigans: A Trendy Twist on the Patchwork Quilt

Okay. I’m in love with throwbacks and vintage. Always have been. Lucky for me, it’s now in style. I need a bedspread, and since my style is in style, there are plenty out there. Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters, anyone? ❤

The problem? TOO PRICEY! Everything is so expensive, I mean, over $100, and it’s never exactly the color scheme or pattern I need.

The solution? As always, to make my own.

It was so easy and, TADA, cheap! I found old scraps of fabric from past projects, bought cheap curtain panels, pillowcases, and place mats (for a few bucks) from the local thrift store and garage sales. I didn’t want to use batting inside, so I bought a fuzzy throw blanked on clearance at Super Target down the road and sewed it to the back of my creation.

This is what I ended up with. (I think i will add some fabric flowers and buttons eventually, too.)
